Owned by the Scottish Government, Glasgow Prestwick Airport directly employs circa 350 people and supports over 4,000 jobs across the aerospace cluster.  Situated in the heart of Scotland’s aerospace industry we offer a diverse range of in-house aviation services providing vital connections to the rest of the world.

These are permanent roles, reporting directly to the Cleaning Team Leader, 35 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rotational shift basis, including weekend working.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Cleaning Operatives to carry out a range of cleaning duties across the Airport.  You’ll play a vital role in ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently maintained.

Ideal candidates will have a friendly and helpful manner, and have the ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative.  Flexibility is required to support unexpected events such as delayed flights.

Prior experience is not essential as full training will be given on all cleaning equipment and procedures. It is essential you hold a full UK driving licence for a manual vehicle.

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Follow daily cleaning schedules for the Airport facilities and tenants.
  • Clean all specified areas within the schedule time allocated and to the standard required.
  • Deal with any complaints immediately and report them to the Team Leader or Manager.
  • Accept delivery of stock/consumables and store correctly and safely.
  • Be aware of material expenditure.
  • Complete daily cleaning logs and records as requested by the Team Leader.
  • Fault report any damage of equipment or inoperable toilet facilities to the Team Leader.
  • Ensure all waste is disposed of correctly.
